Hi everyone! My name is Gerald Ernat and I am a Sports Dietitian.
I received my BS in Food, Nutrition, & Dietetics from Illinois State University and then went on to Bradley University for my Dietetic Internship (all potential Registered Dietitians are required to go through an internship). After that, I received my MS in Nutrition & Physical Performance from Saint Louis University.
Currently, I am working as a contractor at Fort Bragg, NC for the US Army where I help our nation’s soldiers become healthier and get in better shape. I work alongside a Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, and two Strength Coaches and really enjoy being a part of a sports medicine team.
During my time here I received a specialty certification to be a Sports Dietitian (CSSD) and I am also a Certified Personal Trainer from the ACSM.
I got into this profession because I used to be very unhealthy and didn’t like how I felt or looked, but also love food and want to help others. In my free time, I enjoy competing in powerlifting, strongman, and Scottish Highland Games competitions.
My method to help others is not some FAD diet that is super restrictive. It isn’t going to make you choke down foods you despise or cause you to only eat 1,000 calories/day. I focus on whole foods and portions sizes and work with all of my clients to make sure eating is enjoyable while still meeting their performance and body composition goals.
One time consultations can be booked for $65. These are best for if you have a few quick questions. In order to serve you best, we strongly recommend one of our longer plans so we can create a gameplan that works best for you!

We don't always recommend counting calories and macros, but if that is something you need/want and don't have an unhealthy relationship with doing so... we can also help with getting more specific in your goals!

We never recommend weight loss or weight gain, but if you're looking to do either of those things in a healthy, safe, and parent/guardian approved way we would love to help! Parents must be present for all meetings.
